General Description


KEM NOBAC is a composition of a complex of nitrogen-containing active substances of bactericidal and bacteria static action.

KEM NOBAC is used to prevent bacterial decomposition of organic drilling fluid components such as polysaccharides, is effective in controlling blue-green algae and microscopic fungi, and inhibits the activity of sulfate reducing bacteria that cause equipment corrosion. It is used to treat water injected into the reservoir to prevent the formation of biogenic hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide. It is also used to prevent biodegradation of drilling fluid components and prevent bio-contamination of formations during drilling. If hydrogen sulfide is present in the formation being drilled, it absorbs it.

Recommendations for use

KEM NOBAC is added to the drilling fluid when it is prepared after the polymers or clay powder have been introduced and completely dispersed. The concentration is at least 0.5 l/m3.

Packaging

KEM NOBAC is packed in polypropylene barrels with a capacity of 200, 275 dm³, canisters 20−50 dm3.

KEM VIS is a water-soluble xanthan biopolymer with a high molecular weight.

KEM VIS is used as a structure builder in water-based drilling fluids, both fresh and highly saline. The reagent regulates rheological properties of drilling fluid, provides retention and carrying capacity, provides pseudoplastic character of rheological behavior of drilling fluid.
Due to the special structure of the side chains in the biopolymer molecule during the production process, KEM VIS has a higher viscosity in saline solutions than similar reagents.

Recommendations for use

KEM VIS is used in concentrations from 0.25 to 4.5 kg/m3 depending on the application technology.

Packaging

KEM VIS comes in multi-ply paper or polypropylene bags of 25 or 30 kg.

Recommendations for use

KEM PAC HV is used in concentrations from 0.05 to 5.0 kg/m3, depending on the viscosity and filtration of the drilling fluid required. The injection should be done carefully, stirring for at least 20 minutes.

Packaging

KEM PAC HV is packaged in open-mouth and closed-mouth (with valve) bags of 25 kg.

KEM PAC LV low viscosity purified polyanionic cellulose, designed to regulate the filtration properties of the drilling fluid. It does not significantly affect rheological characteristics. It is used for decreasing water yield of drilling fluids of different salinity. Contributes to formation of a thin, dense, low-permeability filtration crust.

Recommendations for use

KEM PAC LV is used in concentrations from 0.05 to 5.0 kg/m3, depending on the desired drilling fluid filtration rate. The injection should be done carefully, stirring for at least 20 minutes.

KEM STAB MUD is used as a highly effective inhibitor of clay minerals, providing preservation of stability of the walls of the well, composed of unstable hygroscopic clay rocks, as well as reduction of the drilling fluid by increasing the carrying capacity by preventing dispersion of clay cuttings. It can be used as a polymer-silicate plug of perforated formations when installing a cement bridge, as well as in enhanced oil recovery technologies to regulate the coverage of the formation by flooding, increase the oil displacement ratio, redistribution of flows in the reservoir due to lower filtration-volumetric characteristics of permeable intervals, and involvement in the work of low-permeable zones.
