Absorption zone isolation technologies

To isolate the zone of complication, in conditions of catastrophic absorption, in an order prone to the formation of dynamic/static cracks and failures, a comprehensive approach is recommended:

Creation of polymer-blocking screen;
Reducing the power of fractures and sealing the screen with aerated cement composition KEM CemAero in the area of flushing fluid absorption;
Flush operations, liquidation of the complication.

Creating a "screen" with a polymer-blocking compound

Washing fluid absorption area
Reinforcing screen
Compaction with a KEM CemAero aerated cement mix using a reamer packer
PROS - K(G) for open barrel
and PRK(G) - 102, 114, 168, 178Ya used as bridge plugs

KEM CemAero (foam cement) to eliminate absorption zones

Liquidation of absorption zones and full escapes, liquidation of long absorption intervals complicated by developed fracture structure and flushed zones.
Advantages: maintenance of static level of absorbing formation due to low density of solution ρ=800-1350 kg/m3; increase in volume (during preparation of solution). High adhesion to rocks, high penetration ability in porous rocks.
Mechanism of action
The mechanism of action of the KEM CemAero material is as follows: having high adsorption, finely dispersed air bubbles and their conglomerates — aphrons are able to colmatate a wide range of permeable media — from low-permeable sandstones to fractured limestones with permeability of tens of Darcies, forming a similar crust on their surface and a zolmatized screen in the permeable medium.
The particles accumulate (wedge) in pores or cracks of rocks and contribute to retention of rather high values of repression, thus preventing filtration and absorption of the mortar. In the process of hardening, cement particles form spherical shells representing pores, which are filled with hydration products.
Fillers of polyfractional composition of different nature form an additional reinforcing network not allowing the mortar to escape into the formation.
