Mechanism of action
The mechanism of action of the KEM CemAero material is as follows: having high adsorption, finely dispersed air bubbles and their conglomerates — aphrons are able to colmatate a wide range of permeable media — from low-permeable sandstones to fractured limestones with permeability of tens of Darcies, forming a similar crust on their surface and a zolmatized screen in the permeable medium.
The particles accumulate (wedge) in pores or cracks of rocks and contribute to retention of rather high values of repression, thus preventing filtration and absorption of the mortar. In the process of hardening, cement particles form spherical shells representing pores, which are filled with hydration products.
Fillers of polyfractional composition of different nature form an additional reinforcing network not allowing the mortar to escape into the formation.
