  • A unique mineralized highly inhibited multicomponent drilling mud was used.
  • A new composition of lightweight drilling mud with density of 0.85−0.95 g/cm1 cm³ with required structural-mechanical and pseudoplastic properties has been developed and tested.
  • The low values of the filtration index and the screening effect of the solution determine the preservation of natural permeability of the reservoir during primary penetration.
  • Highly qualified engineering, technical and administrative personnel of LLC "Kemal" and FGBOU VO USNTU were invited to solve the technological challenge.

Difficulties in the process, unique methods of solving, features:

The Maikop complicated interval, prone to packing, sticking, tool jams and rock slides, was penetrated with mineralized gypsum-lime highly inhibited drilling mud, containing three inhibiting cations: K', Ca', A1(OH)2' in the system in seawater.

Drilling Fluid Absorption in the Productive Horizon with ANPD:

At the previous well of the cluster site, under the conditions of catastrophic absorption and autonomous object, the underbalanced bottom hole was allowed. It was not possible to reach the design bottomhole. During construction of the well in the productive horizon, our specialists used Afrin-containing drilling mud, due to which the well was completed drilling and successful development.
